May 20 - Free Clinic Cancelled
Event Cancelled - Unfortunately the 49ers have had to cancel our clinic on Sunday due to a scheduling conflict on their end. We are very sorry for the inconvenience and look forward to seeing everyone in August for in-person registration events at Chick-fil-A.
Summer Camp Dates - Mon June 25 - Thu June 28 from 9a - 3p
We've confirmed the dates and we're looking forward to the 2nd annual summer camp with the Charlotte 49ers at Pleasant Grove. Last year we had about 30 kids participate. This year we hope to add even more to the mix.
We will have lots of cold water, shade tents, and frequent breaks so the kids do not get too hot. We also will eat indoors in the AC and watch a movie to help keep the kids comfortable during our lunch break. This is what we did last year and parents have commented how they appreciated our attention to the heat precautions.
Full Day: 9a - 3p $125 per player
Half Day: 9a - 12p $95 per player

Fall 2012 Registration opens online
Beginning May 1st, parents can register their children for the Fall 2012 soccer season. We are very excited to announce our new uniforms (Dyno Program) for U4, U6 and replica MLS, World Cup, and Premier League jerseys for our U8, U10, and U12 players.
Fees as follows:
U4 - $45 (includes Dyno ball, jersey, shorts, and socks)
U6 - $125 (includes Dyno ball, jersey, shorts, and socks)
U8 - $135 (includes MLS replica jersey and socks. Black shorts available for $5 if necessary).
U10 - $135 (includes World Cup replica jersey and socks. Black shorts available for $5).
U12 - $135 (inlcudes Premier League jersey and socks. Black shorts available for $5).

*U12 - This year we are going to host our own U12 Coed program. The past few seasons we've partnered with N. Meck soccer, and while we greately appreciate their support and partnership, our parent feedback has been that we should have our own U12 Coed program. Please help us get the word out that we will have a 4 team Coed program very similar to the U10 Coed program. We are looking for approximately 44 players at this age group. Thank you!
Nominations open for new Board Members
WUSC is a volunteer-based club. Neighboring soccer clubs use professional staff to manage their clubs and their fees reflect the added expense. Most people don't realize that our club fees are a fraction of the fees that you would be forced to pay at other clubs. In today's economic climate saving money (not to mention time and gas driving to fields 25+ minutes away twice a week for practices and games) is a great benefit. In order to keep WUSC local and inexpensive we need volunteers to run our organization.
We would also like to expand the current board by adding 3 new board members to help us manage our growth. Our club is in great shape with regards to our financials, our membership, and our coaches. We have new relationships with the Charlotte 49ers soccer program and we began accepting sponsors last season. We have momentum to build upon this season but we need your help.
We would prefer parents of kids in the U4, U6, and U8 age groups as their kids will be in the club for at least two more seasons. You are volunteering for a term of 2 years. Expectations are that you attend at least 7 of the 9 meetings per year (generally 1 1/2 hours per meeting) and that you help facilitate some of the events that we have scheduled during the preseason. You also agree to serve as an ambassador of the club throughout the season and off-season. Your term would begin either in August or November depending on your preference and ability to get started.

Without your help we run the risk of shutting down the club due to lack of leadership. Please don't wait for someone else to step up; take a turn and let's keep WUSC moving forward!
